US soldier 'motivates' Iraqi police

This video (be warned: it contains very strong language) was posted on YouTube in late January. I'm amazed it hasn't gone viral and caused a real political stir. Maybe it will now, since it's just been posted on one of the more prominent American military-themed blogs, Defense Tech.

Defense Tech seems to think the soldier's speech is pretty funny, but although I can understand American frustrations, it's hard to think of a more counter-productive way to change the behaviour of the Iraqi police. And note the subtext, which is that the Iraqis are simply not grateful enough to American troops for what they are doing in Iraq. At one point the soldier even says, 'I don't see your ass in my hometown'. Yeah, that's because Iraq didn't invade and occupy the United States of America.

UPDATE: It occurs to me that the video also illustrates how unattractive American machismo has become. Can you imagine John Wayne delivering a speech like that, or even 'Dirty' Harry Callahan?
